An ALS diagnosis can leave a family with more questions than they know what to do with. Some are about today. Others are about decisions that may be months away. It’s hard to sort them out while you’re still taking in the news.

On Tuesday, October 13, the ALS Association is hosting an online conversation about the changes people may face and the care decisions that can come with them. Dr. Kwame Adjepong, a physician in neurology and palliative medicine at UCSF, will lead the session.

  • 2–3 p.m. Eastern

  • Online through Zoom; registration is required.

You don’t need a polished list of questions to attend. Start with the one that’s been following you around: What should we be thinking about now? What can wait? Who can help us talk through the choices?

If you’re joining as a family member, make room for the person living with ALS to say what matters to them. The session can help you prepare for a conversation with their own care team.
