APD invites families and caregivers to upcoming support-coordination meetings

Events · Published September 19, 2026 · Source advisory dated August 31, 2026

Florida's Agency for Persons with Disabilities and the University of South Florida are gathering feedback on the quality, capacity, and consistency of waiver support coordination. APD invites iBudget participants, family members, caregivers, guardians, providers, and support coordinators to contribute.

Upcoming opportunities

The Tampa session is scheduled for September 22, 2026, from noon to 1 p.m. at the USF Marshall Student Center, Room 2709–Hillsborough. APD also lists a virtual session on October 6 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Check APD's advisory and meeting agenda for access information and any changes before participating.

Why it matters

These meetings give people who use and help coordinate services a way to describe what works and where communication or access could improve. Consider bringing one specific experience and one practical suggestion. Participation is an opportunity to provide feedback, not an individual service authorization.
