Who Would Be Called in an Emergency? Check Your Florida ID Record.

Resources
The person you’d want called in an emergency may be easy for you to name. That doesn’t mean their number is on your Florida driver-license or ID-card record.
Florida’s Emergency Contact Information service lets people with a valid Florida driver license or ID card register up to two contacts at no cost. The information helps designated contacts be notified in an emergency. You don’t have to be a driver to use it if you have a valid Florida ID card.
Choose people who can respond
Ask your contacts whether they’re comfortable being listed, and confirm their current phone numbers. Think about who is likely to answer and who knows how to reach the other people who matter.
Use FLHSMV’s official Emergency Contact Information portal to register or check your details. It asks for your Florida driver-license or ID-card number and date of birth. Have those ready, and enter them only on the official site.
Already registered? A changed phone number or family situation is a good reason to review the record. A contact list is only useful if it still reaches the right people.
